Call for Book Reviews: Animation: An Interdisciplinary Journal

CALL FOR BOOK REVIEWS

animation: an interdisciplinary journal is an international, peer-reviewed journal with an arts and humanities focus that brings together research in animation, film and media studies, art and design, visual culture, architecture, new media technologies, creative practices and more.

After a period of dormancy of our Book Reviews section, we are now seeking book review contributions that critically engage with leading scholarship in the field and reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the journal. We also welcome the review of publications, which are based in other disciplines, that display a clear intersection with animation theories and practices. In addition to books in English, the journal encourages reviews of texts published in languages other than the academic lingua franca of English.

Reviews are typically in the 800-1500-word range. For sample reviews, please consult pre-2021 issues of the journal (http://anm.sagepub.com/).

If you are interested in reviewing a book for the journal, please send an email including
1) the book’s title, 2) your affiliation, 3) a brief description of your suitability for reviewing the book and 4) a statement of impartiality and any potential conflicts of interest pertaining to the book you would like to review to both reviews editors:

Dr Aimee Mollaghan (a.mollaghan@qub.ac.uk) Dr Patrick Sullivan (patricksullivan@tamu.edu )
